About ShareCut
Link infrastructure you can print. Short URLs, editable QR codes, link-in-bio pages and digital menus — published on your own domain, screened for malware, and measured.
What is ShareCut?
One place to publish a link and everything that goes around it:
- Short URLs with a QR code you can re-point after printing.
- TreeLink — a link-in-bio page for social profiles.
- AI menus for restaurants, bars and cafes — they recommend and pair, not just display.
- Your own domain (CNAME) with automatic HTTPS, on every paid plan.
- Click analytics by country, device, OS, browser and referrer.
- A REST API to create links and QR codes from your own systems.
Plans at a glance
Free — Short links with static QR, basic stats, ad-supported pages.
Pro (€9/mo) — Dynamic QR with analytics, branded link-in-bio, custom short links, custom domains (CNAME) and no ads.
Restaurant (€19/mo) — Everything in Pro plus an AI QR menu on your own domain: import your printed carte from a PDF, and Restaurant Buddy names a dish and pairs a drink from your real menu in six languages. The AI is included — 1,500 requests a month, billed to us.
Business (€29/mo) — Everything in Restaurant with 4,000 AI requests a month and the chef's preface on every recommendation, plus REST API and MCP access.
Your links stay yours
The honest risk with any link shortener is the shortener itself: once a QR code is printed on a menu, a flyer or a shop window, whoever controls that domain controls your customers. ShareCut is built so that never has to be us.
Print your domain, not ours
Every paid plan can serve links and menus from a subdomain you own, over HTTPS. If you ever leave, you repoint the DNS record and the codes you already printed keep working.
Reprinting is optional
Dynamic QR codes point at a destination you can change later — new menu, new campaign, moved page — without touching what is already printed.
Built to be depended on
Every destination is screened. Before a short link is created, the target URL is checked against the Google Safe Browsing API for malware, phishing and unwanted software — so your short domain does not end up on a blocklist because of someone else.
Public pages are server-rendered. A menu or bio page arrives as finished HTML from the edge — it opens on hotel Wi-Fi and on an old phone, and it is readable by crawlers and social previews without running any JavaScript.
Boring, proven infrastructure. Netlify's global edge network and Google Cloud Firestore, with certificates issued and renewed automatically for every custom domain.
EU rules, applied properly. Operated from Italy under GDPR: versioned Terms you can look up by date, a written confirmation emailed on every purchase, and consent recorded rather than assumed. Read the Privacy Policy. To export or erase your data, email us and we will action it.
Who runs ShareCut
ShareCut is built and operated by Luca Ricciardi Serafino de Conciliis, a software engineer based in Italy. It is an independent product, paid for by its subscriptions — there is no investor deadline behind it and no incentive to monetise your visitors' data.
In practice that means support goes to the person who writes the code: a bug report sent from the contact page — or straight to [email protected] — reaches the one desk that can fix it, and shipped changes are logged on the blog. ShareCut is not affiliated with other sites using a similar name or a different domain extension.
Also from the same workshop
ShareCut is not the first thing shipped here. Under the LRSdeCo label the same operation publishes and maintains games — including Formula 2707 — All Stars Kombat, an arcade car-combat title on Steam since July 2023, still supported and localised in twelve languages. Different audience, same habit: ship it, then keep it running for years.
