What can I make with ShareCut?

What happens to my QR codes if I stop paying?

They keep working. Every short link, QR code and page you already created keeps resolving, free and with no expiry date. Ads come back on the public page and the paid extras pause, but nothing you printed stops working and nothing is deleted.

Can I manage links for several clients?

Yes, on Business. Workspaces keep each client's links and QR codes apart — up to 25 clients on one subscription, not one subscription per client. You also get batch creation with a print-ready PDF for the whole run, a read-only report you can send a client without giving them an account, and a handover that moves every link to their own account with the short codes unchanged. Does the AI menu need my own AI account or API key?

No. On Restaurant and Business the AI is included and billed to us — 1,500 AI requests a month on Restaurant, 4,000 on Business. Only a guest typing a sentence, a menu re-read after you edit it and a PDF import spend one; scans and taps are free. Past the allowance Buddy keeps recommending on its own engine, and you can bring your own provider key to lift our cap. See the AI menu.

Do I need an account?

No. Short links, QR codes, TreeLinks and menus can be created without one. A free account keeps them in one dashboard, lets you edit them after sharing and shows who opens them.

Are ShareCut links safe?

Yes. Every link you shorten is automatically checked against Google Safe Browsing for malware, phishing and unwanted software, and any destination flagged as unsafe is blocked before the short link is created.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, on every paid plan. Point a subdomain you own at ShareCut with one CNAME record and your menus, TreeLinks and short links are served from it over HTTPS, with the certificate issued and renewed automatically. See plans.

Where can I download the app?

There is nothing to install — ShareCut runs in your browser. On mobile you can add it to your Home Screen from your browser's menu and it behaves like an app.

Are you affiliated with the .io site with the same name?

No. ShareCut is an independent project and is not affiliated with any other website or company using a similar name or a different domain (e.g. .io).
